Space Debris Tracking
Envisat launched in 2002 is the size of a large commuter bus. In 2012 the 2.3 billion Euro space craft was permanently put out of operation by a piece of space debris the size of a 10 cent piece.

The Emerald Observatory offers strategic partnerships to researchers and industry.

Space Situational Awareness
The EO is available as a tool for development and validation of space situational awareness software. The end outcome is to have reliable prediction algorithms for safe launches.
